In 2011 7-Series is a 4-door, 5 passenger luxury sedan, available in seven versions, ranging from the 740i sedan on for the 760Li sedan.

After introducing the 740i sedan is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, I6, 315-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 17 mpg city and 25 mpg on the highway. 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. 760Li Sedan is equipped with a standard 6.0-liter V12, 535 horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 13 mpg city and 19 mpg on the highway. An eight-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
