2011 S-Class is a 4-door, 5 passenger luxury sedan or luxury sports sedan, available in five versions of the rest of the S400 hybrid sedan S65 AMG sedan.

Upon introduction, the S400 Hybrid sedan is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 275 horsepower, hybrid engine that achieves 19 mpg city and 25 mpg on the highway. 7-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The S65 AMG sedan is equipped with a standard 6.0-liter, V12, 621 horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 12 mpg city and 19 mpg on the highway. 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
