Honda CR-Z 2011 Review

Honda CR-Z sports coupe is all new hybrid that draws on the original of the name "hot hatch" first CRX and Insight hybrid.

The sporty front-wheel drive CR-Z two-seater is powered by the latest generation of Honda's integrated motor assist (IMA) that pairs of 1.5-liter 4-cylinder with 14 horsepower electric with a total capacity of 122 horses. Fuel economy is a hybrid rather pedestrian, but some real return on hybrid CR-Z sports. It takes a little and not very fast from anywhere, but the grip and steering feel is excellent. March and NVH control is much better than the original two-seater Insight.

As with the new Insight, CR-Z driver using the red, blue and green behind the digital speedometer which optimum fuel economy is reached. Exclusive to the CR-Z is the three-mode drive system that tailors acceleration, engine and air conditioner's response to athletic performance, normal or fuel economy. What's New

CR-Z is a completely new model built on updated systems and platforms already in use across Honda range. Built on the platform that supports global small car Fit and insight, the CR-Z uses a modified version of the Fit is CVT and 1.5-liter engine in conjunction with the sixth generation version of Honda's IMA electric motor / system battery. The six-speed manual transmission comes from the European-spec Civic.

Out

Long front overhang, wind-cheating Kamm according to the profile and rear are intentionally familiar and remember the second generation CRX. CR-Z 16-inch wheels as standard. EX models are auto on / off HID headlights and fog lights.

Inside

U.S. model of the CR-Z is not a hat instead of the back seat. Tilt and telescopic steering wheel and automatic climate control as standard. EX adds Bluetooth, leather steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and a high-quality audio, but the navigation is optional.

Performance and management

Exclusive to the CR-Z is a special three-mode drive system that provides regular performance sports car and fuel efficient. The hybrid powertrain is not the CR-Z quickly, but it is in possession after a bit of roll. The 6-speed is the one you want, even if fuel economy is better for "seven-speed" paddle-shiftable CVT.

Security

Honda CR-Z uses the particular structure of the body of the ECA to maximize occupant protection in collisions. Driver and passenger has two stages, the multiple threshold and front side airbags. Side curtain airbags and traction / stability control is also standard.
