Honda Ridgeline 2011 Review

Honda Ridgeline was the 2006 motor trend truck of the year due to its unconventional approach, the man who thinks of the compact truck market. Critics howled, citing Ridgeline car-like monocoque and independent suspension, a low maximum payload / trailer, and the base price and high quality compatible with the work truck buyer. Sales figures seem to agree. However, the Ridgeline does not target farmers or entrepreneurs, rather than the weekend warriors who can no longer use-Honda cars. For these enthusiasts, Ridgeline full-time four-wheel, the car-like handling and flexible storage solutions are ideal.

This is a small market, however, and a bed and a focus on Honda powertrain has not buried the truck striking building in smaller niches. Ridgeline is a pickup is medium in size more compact, but it costs as much as one size does not help very well equipped to sell. With the market away from trucks in general, some say Honda Ridgeline is orphaned after a product cycle If you like the eccentricity and offers perhaps the time now .... What's New

Ridgeline has received substantial improvements, since the amendment in 2009 and remains unchanged in 2011. Honda is rumored to be considering withdrawing the Ridgeline this year.

Outside

Unibody construction with a double short, with sloping walls of the Ridgeline is half his own eyes. Features such as drop / swing-out rear door lockable bed-frames, and power folding mirrors makes it unique.

Inside

The spacious interior features standard features of Honda itself and the instrumentation has a twist style decidedly robust. Gear changes are made by Honda shifter single column. Navigation is available only with RTL models.

Performance and handling

The powertrain consists of a backbone 250-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 attached to a 5-speed automatic power all four wheels through the management of Honda Variable Torque (VTM) system. Independent suspension and unibody construction means that the ridge extends like a car. Too bad it's also like a tail: the maximum payload and towing capacity of 1100 pounds and 5000 pounds are useful, but during the competition.

Security

Three-point seat belts are standard on all passengers, such as traction / stability control system. Outboard passengers are semi-curtain airbags, driver and front passenger two-stage front and front side airbags.
